When do votes happen?

Updated 05 Oct 2026

The timing of a vote follows set rules:

  • Not too early. A vote opens only after the property has been fully funded for 12 months. WIZ may open one sooner only for a stated reason, and the reason is shown to investors on the vote.
  • Only on a funded property. Not while a property is still raising money, and not once it is being sold.
  • One at a time. A property has at most one vote scheduled or open.
  • A fair window. Voting stays open for 7 to 45 days, usually 14.
  • A pause after a "no". If a vote does not pass, the next one cannot open for 6 months.
  • A record date. Your votes are the units you held at the end of the vote's record date, which is the day voting opens or earlier.

You are told by email and on the website when a vote is scheduled and when it opens. A reminder is sent about 48 hours before it closes to investors who have not voted yet. If a property is not sold within the expected time, WIZ talks to investors about the options, including another vote.
