How a vote is decided
Updated 05 Oct 2026
A vote to sell passes when both of these are true:
- Enough investors took part. By default at least 50% of all units must vote. A No or an Abstain counts as taking part.
- A majority said yes. The yes units must be more than 50% of the yes and no units. Abstentions are left out of this count.
Example: a property has 10,000 units. Units holding 6,000 vote: 4,000 yes, 1,500 no and 500 abstain. Turnout is 60%, which meets the 50% needed. Yes is 4,000 of 5,500 yes and no units, about 72.7%, which is more than 50%. The vote passes.
For a particular vote WIZ can set a higher bar, such as two thirds. The numbers needed are shown on the vote page. Results are shown in units and as percentages. No investor's name is ever shown.
