What are the risks?
Updated 04 Oct 2026
Property investment carries real risk:
- Capital at risk. You can get back less than you put in.
- Rent is not guaranteed. A property can stay empty, or the rent can fall.
- Sale price is not guaranteed. Builds can run late and cost more; a sale can fetch less than planned.
- Limited exit. Units may not be easy to sell before the planned exit. The market lets you try to sell to another investor, but a buyer is not guaranteed.
- Figures are targets. Yields and prices shown on listings are targets, not promises.
Only invest money you can leave untouched for the whole term. Read the full risk disclosure.
